Latin America’s intellectual property protection regimes present a challenge to corporations accustomed to the protections of the North American IP system. We have identified this as an area which will require special attention for any Canadian corporations intending to transfer or use protected IP, knowledge or know-how in the region. We will coordinate and provide advice and opinions on matters such as patentability, due diligence, analysis, licensing, protection and enforcement in order to best protect this increasingly important set of corporate assets.

Taxation
